Cruxible Privacy Policy

Version: 1.1 Last updated: 2026-03-26 Status: Published for product launch. Not legal advice.

This Privacy Policy explains how Cruxible collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes personal information when you use the Cruxible apps, websites, and related services (the "Service").

This document is written to be readable and practical. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed by counsel before a full public launch in every jurisdiction where the Service is offered.

Contact:

  • Email: support@cruxible.co

If we are required by law to appoint a data protection representative or officer for a specific region, we will identify that contact in an updated version of this Policy or in a region-specific notice.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to Cruxible mobile apps, websites, support interactions, and related services.

It covers personal information we collect:

  • directly from you
  • automatically when you use the Service
  • from third-party sign-in, payment, and platform providers

3. Information We Collect

A. Account and Identity Data

We may collect:

  • email address
  • display name or username
  • sign-in provider and account identifiers from Apple, Google, or similar providers
  • account creation, login, and account status information
  • legal-acceptance records, such as version and acceptance date

B. Content and Service Data

We may collect:

  • prompts, text inputs, uploaded PDFs, images, and other files
  • generated analyses, summaries, and audio requests
  • bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading preferences
  • support requests, bug reports, and copyright notices you submit

C. Subscription and Transaction Data

We may collect:

  • subscription tier, provider, renewal status, and product identifiers
  • purchase, restore, expiry, cancellation, and trial metadata
  • billing support records

We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Apple, Stripe, Google, or other payment providers you choose to use.

D. Technical and Usage Data

We may collect:

  • device, browser, app version, and operating system information
  • language, appearance, and product preference settings
  • log, error, and diagnostics information
  • usage information needed to operate, improve, and secure the Service

E. Data From Other Sources

We may receive data from:

  • Apple, Google, and other authentication providers
  • Apple, Stripe, and other billing providers
  • service providers that host or support the Service

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage accounts
  • authenticate users and prevent unauthorized access
  • provide AI-assisted analysis, summaries, audio, and related features
  • sync user data across devices
  • process subscriptions, restores, and billing-related support
  • personalize language, reading, and recommendation experiences
  • maintain, debug, monitor, and improve the Service
  • detect abuse, fraud, security issues, and policy violations
  • respond to support, legal, and copyright requests
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on your location and the specific processing activity, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Service you request, including account features, syncing, uploads, subscriptions, and support.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, improve, troubleshoot, and protect the Service.
  • Consent: where required, such as certain permissions, certain communications, or similar processing that must be opt-in under applicable law.
  • Legal obligation: where we must retain, disclose, or otherwise process information to comply with law.

If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it for future processing where applicable.

6. AI Processing, Personalization, and Automated Decisions

The Service uses AI and automated systems to generate summaries, analyses, audio, and related outputs.

We may also use reading activity, selected languages, preferences, and similar signals to personalize recommendations or product behavior.

At this time, Cruxible does not intend to use solely automated decision-making to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

Because AI features work by sending content and metadata through technical systems and, in some cases, third-party model providers, your inputs and related service data may be processed for the purpose of generating outputs, maintaining the feature, and preventing abuse.

7. Sharing and Third-Party Processing

We may share personal information with:

  • hosting, storage, database, and infrastructure providers
  • authentication providers
  • payment and subscription providers
  • AI and language model providers
  • analytics, logging, crash, and notification providers
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or acquirers
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts, or counterparties where required by law or legal process

We share information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Where third parties process data for us, we use contractual, technical, or organizational controls appropriate to the relationship and the type of data involved.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required by law, we use measures intended to support lawful transfers, such as contractual safeguards, vendor commitments, or other recognized transfer mechanisms.

9. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to operate the Service, comply with law, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes.

Examples:

  • Account data: typically while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for security, compliance, and recordkeeping.
  • Uploaded files and generated content: typically until you delete them, we delete them under our retention rules, or your account is deleted.
  • Billing and transaction records: as long as required for tax, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, or platform obligations.
  • Logs and diagnostics: for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or retain it only where continued storage is legally required or technically necessary for limited backup, fraud-prevention, or security purposes.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • access personal information
  • correct inaccurate information
  • delete personal information
  • restrict or object to certain processing
  • receive portable copies of certain data
  • withdraw consent
  • complain to a regulator or data protection authority

To exercise a request, contact support@cruxible.co.

Where required by law, we may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are in the EU, EEA, or similar regions, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

11. Account Deletion and Billing

You may request deletion of your account through the in-app account deletion flow where available, or by contacting us.

Deleting a Cruxible account does not itself cancel Apple, Google, Stripe, or other third-party billing arrangements. Those subscriptions may need to be canceled separately with the billing provider.

If you have an active Apple subscription, Apple requires us to make clear that billing may continue until you cancel through Apple. Similar rules may apply to other platforms.

12. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

On our websites and apps, we may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to:

  • keep you signed in
  • remember preferences
  • support core product functionality
  • measure performance, reliability, and usage

Where consent is required for non-essential tracking or similar technologies, we will request it through the relevant product surface.

13. Marketing and Notifications

If we send marketing emails, texts, or push notifications where consent is required, we will request that consent separately.

You can opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. Service, billing, security, and legal notices may still be sent where necessary.

14. Children

The Service is not directed to children below the minimum age permitted by applicable law in their jurisdiction.

If you believe a child provided personal information without required authorization, contact us and we will review the request.

15. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for using the Service in a secure manner.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate, for example in the app, on the website, or by email.

The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
